CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) — A North Carolina college student slain while confronting a gunman in his classroom was expected to receive a hero’s send-off Thursday as his body is taken back to his hometown with a police escort.

The City of Asheville is seeking public input on the potential future zoning of properties at/near  Kmart (Patton Avenue), Innsbruck Mall (Tunnel Road), Steinmart (Merrimon Avenue) and Walmart (Bleachery Boulevard).
