Asheville --  Press Release City of Asheville Government: Asheville Parks & Recreation administration offices and community centers are closed for a staff retreat as part of Park and Recreation Professionals Day on Friday, July 18, 2025.

During this time, there may be a delay in returning phone calls and emails. For the quickest response to non-emergency issues, park visitors should use the Asheville App.

Please call 911 if there is an emergency situation.

Most parks and greenways are open on a regular schedule of 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. Azalea, Carrier (west side), French Broad River, Recreation, and Richmond Hill parks remain closed, as does the portion of French Broad River Greenway that runs through French Broad River Park. Although community centers are closed, outdoor features such as playgrounds, picnic areas and sports courts adjacent to community center buildings are open from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Riverside Cemetery offices are closed, though the grounds are open 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Some areas are inaccessible due to Helene-related damage.

The pool at Dr. Wesley Grant Sr. Southside Community Center is open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Splasheville in Pack Square Park is open 9 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.
