Asheville --    Asheville officials are once again sounding the alarm, reminding residents and visitors that popular recreation spots in the region may still harbor hidden storm debris from Helene, and pose risks from water contamination. The catastrophic flooding brought on by Helene overwhelmed sewage systems and led to significant agricultural runoff, releasing harmful bacteria like E. coli into waterways across North Carolina and Georgia.

D-Day --  June 6, 1944. This date marks a pivotal moment in history: the Allied invasion of Normandy, France. Known as D-Day, it was the largest amphibious operation ever launched, initiating the liberation of Western Europe from Nazi control.

Rutherford County --  While actively monitoring the Earnhardt Drive area in Mooresboro, North Carolina, on Wednesday,  the Rutherford County Sheriff's Office Aggressive Criminal Enforcement (A.C.E.) Team noticed a blue Jeep Renegade driving left of center, which is against North Carolina traffic law.
